UC Davis pepper spray probe to be released Tuesday

The first investigation into breakdowns that led to the pepper-spraying of students and others on the UC-Davis campus last November is expected to be unveiled at a campus meeting next Tuesday, the university announced this morning.

Cruz Reynoso, a former California Supreme Court associate justice, had headed up the probe of the on Nov. 18 incident that began when campus police attempted to remove students and Occupy protesters from the campus quad.

The UC president’s office oversaw the probe, one of several into the incident.

The time and location of Tuesday’s meeting will be announced later, the school said in a message posted on its website this morning.
